The Carl Sandburg College softball team closed out its Spring Break trip with a pair of losses to Gulf Coast State (Fla.) on Monday night, falling 11-2 and 6-1.

Chloe Sullivan (Port Byron, Ill./Riverdale) and Whitney Wynkoop (Fulton, Ill./Fulton) had back-to-back RBI singles in the fifth to account for both Sandburg hits in the contest.

Key Moment
After the Chargers evened things up in the top of the fourth, the Commodores regained the lead with a three-run bottom half on a sacrifice fly and an error that plated two runs.

Wynkoop added her second RBI single of the day when she knocked in Lizzie Malcolm (Milan, Ill./Alleman), who led off the fourth with a single and moved to second on a sacrifice, on a base hit to center.
